Donovan TaylorDonovan Taylor Hall is a youth advocate and educator that teaches kids how to build positive self-identity. His work aims to help kids build self-determination, while also learning skills to take care of themselves mentally and emotionally. He also works with the adults who support kids in creating safe spaces for learning and growth.

Donovan teaches his self skills curriculum through youth online coaching, speeches, and online content. He has been featured on the Today Show, NowThis, and several podcasts to talk about the importance of positive youth development. Featured Speaker

Caprice YoungOur featured speaker is Dr. Caprice Young, Interim CEO for iLEAD California and President of Education Growth Group.

Caprice Young was inducted into the Charter School Hall of Fame by the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools, whose board she chaired. She was the founding CEO and President of the California Charter Schools Association and has served as the superintendent of four Charter management organizations ranging from 4,000 to 49,000 students in nine states.

Raised in a foster family, Dr. Young brings her own family experience to her work with students who have experienced trauma prior to changing their story in charter schools. She is a recipient of the Coro Crystal Eagle for Excellence in Public Service and the California State University Los Angeles Educator of the Year in 2016.

Dr. Young serves on the boards of several organizations, including the Fordham Foundation and Institute, Larta, Olivela, and EverDriven. She has been a lecturer at the UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Science and the USC School of Education. Education: Ed.D. UCLA; M.P.A. USC; and B.A. Yale University.
